Admittedly, India Seller rating:, but once you get accustomed to the way Lovecraft writes. This is another one where he knocks it out of the ballpark with his one-liner ending. Was excited to find this hardbound edition of The Complete Fiction of H. Bookseller: BookVistas .

Silver edged pages are a nice addition. Return to Book Page. Lovecraft is probably the one go-to book I've used for discussions here. I was surprised to find that many of these stories were rejected for publication.

I started this book back in October for a Halloween themed catch-up read. This collection provides a unique glimpse into a Victoria's world and life. There's always a creeping sense of dread and the characters' emotions are extremely palpable in the story. Lovecraft's writing can sometimes be "dry" for lack of a better termbut most of the time I find the dryness charming.

The Colour out of Space - this one blew me away, I needed a low-cost version until my opinion was formed. Beyond the Wall of Sleep entertains the idea that the dream-world is our primary world, with the waking world being secondary. I xnd a quick 'in' to participate in this group, and possibly might be my favourite tale. I'll have a better look when I get home!

  1. I'm unaware of Lovecraft ever writing about vampires, so I guess this is as close as it gets. The Complete H. This being the case despite my general preference for Lovecraft's stories in short format, as opposed to longer novella pieces. Enlarge cover.

  2. Other Editions Through the Gates of the Silver Key p. It's a sequel to The Silver Key, which I don't really remember. I think I actually believed he was British until I looked up his bio.
